College students across the nation have risked arrest and expulsion to demand that institutions of higher learning cut financial ties with Israel and/or weapons suppliers, or at least disclose where the money is going and to whom.

As CU Denver’s Todd Ely explains, the process is not easy. Investments flow freely and change frequently, Ely reports. Even if universities know exactly what they’re funding, it’s illegal in many states — including Colorado — to pull money from Israeli businesses. Read more
